Commercial Director
Location: Essex Type: Permanent - £80,000 - £90,000 - 3 Days a week Industry: Social Housing Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a well-known social housing company based in the Essex area who are looking for an ambitious Commercial Director to join their team. They are looking for a proactive Commercial Director who can oversee various Social Housing, Facilities and Cleaning/Catering work streams. Overall, this role is responsible for ensuring the commercial success and viability of the various work streams. Responsibilities: Lead all commercial activities in relation to the work streams. Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to ensure value for money. Manage the budgets allocated to the service and work collaboratively with the Head of Operations. Oversee cost control, variations approvals, and finance reporting. Validate all materials expenditure incurred by the work streams. Ensure commercial delivery by overseeing the team and contacting clients. Resolve contractual issues both client and supply chain facing. Report Business Units and CVR's together with the Head of Operations. Ensure contract review processes focus on performance, WIP, debt, etc. Manage the commercial team to ensure all variations are produced and claimed. Lead a regional team including Commercial, Estimating, Surveying, Governance, Procurement, and Administration. Key Knowledge: Property services/construction industry interest. IT and Excel Literate.
