Assistant Accountant - Permanent - Leading Agricultural Group - Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire - Hays Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a growing and well-established agricultural group based near Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire to recruit a dynamic & driven Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will play an integral link between the Management Accountant and other members of the finance team supporting with profit/loss, financial analysis, completion of month-end processes, involving daily interactions with operational management within the group. Development opportunities are on offer along with a study package for AAT/CIMA/ACCA if required. However, the position is also open to finance professionals who are qualified by experience. Your new role Your key duties will involve:

Production of profit and loss reports adhering to deadlines Balance sheet reconciliations Journal posting, accruals, prepayments Supporting the completion of month-end procedures Involvement in variance analysis reporting vs budgets Assisting in full year forecasts Dealing with stakeholder queries Financial analysis and business partnering Supporting the Management Accountant and Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects and duties, including process/systems improvements

Your duties will grow as you develop in the team with opportunities for future progression.

What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this permanent Assistant Management Accountant role, you will have:

Experience in a similar position, willing to learn/develop Strong communication skills to build both internal and external relationships at all levels Ideally AAT qualified studying towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience Experience with accounting packages and key MS Excel skills Able to manage workloads to meet deadlines A high level of accuracy with attention to detail Excellent organisational skills Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team A forward-thinker who takes ownership of their duties and uses initiative to solve problems

Experience within the agricultural or farming sectors would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return This permanent Assistant Management Accountant role offers a salary between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus a study package for AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA if applicable.
