Overall Purpose

We are looking for a Technology Solutions Engineer to take on a diverse and impactful role at Eschmann. This position spans 4 key areas: business systems, software development, project/change management, and IT infrastructure. You’ll apply your broad technical expertise to deliver innovative solutions that enhance how we use technology across the business.

In addition to leading projects and implementing technology solutions, the role includes some direct engagement with end users, providing insights to help you identify opportunities for system improvements and innovations. We’re seeking someone with strong technical skills who thrives on problem-solving and enjoys taking ownership of projects from start to finish. This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days per week spent on-site in Lancing.

Key Responsibilities & Required Skills/Experience

Business Systems Analysis & Support

Responsibilities:

Support and administer business systems like Epicor (ERP) and Solarvista LIVE (Field Service Management).

Engage with end users to understand processes and create requirement specifications for improvements.

Analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements to improve operations and customer interactions.

Skills/Experience:

Experience with ERP systems, preferably in Inventory Management, Order Management, Accounting, and Manufacturing.

Ability to analyze business processes and identify technology-based improvements.

Custom Development & Integration

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain custom software solutions.

Write and maintain Azure Logic Apps and code in C#, Python, and JavaScript to integrate systems and automate processes.

Support the development of the company website (Umbraco).

Skills/Experience:

Proficient in software development, with experience in C#, Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.

Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating systems.

Experience of web development, preferably with Umbraco/ASP.NET.

Project Management & Collaboration

Responsibilities:

Communicate the potential of new technologies and generate enthusiasm for new ways of working.

Lead or contribute to IT and business system projects, ensuring they meet business needs and are delivered on time.

Produce high-quality documentation for IT systems and processes.

Skills/Experience:

Proven track record of leading successful IT projects that deliver significant value on time.

Strong relationship-building skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly, and get teams on board with changes.

IT Infrastructure Management

Responsibilities:

Assist in managing the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, VMWare, networking, backups, and cloud services (Azure/Office 365).

Ensure data security and continuity with regular backups (Veeam) and disaster recovery planning.

Provide first-line support for around 100 users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Skills/Experience:

Strong knowledge of standard IT infrastructure and systems used in medium-sized companies, including servers, networking, cloud services, and data security practices.
