Applicants are invited to apply for the post of Macmillan Personalisation Improvement Facilitator at United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospital. In collaboration with the Living with Cancer Programme, this key role ensures the LWC strategy for Lincolnshire is delivered across the acute trust, whilst also identifying and supporting improvements around the personalisation agenda for cancer patients. The post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting teams to deliver personalisation across cancer pathways and services by supporting operational and clinical teams with the implementation of the core elements within the Personalised Care agenda as per the NHS Long Term plan, using the comprehensive model of care as a driving force. They will work closely with clinical and operational teams as well as other key stakeholders to identify opportunities for personalised care transformation, creating culture change across the organisation to drive positive change. Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of the Cancer Services team within the acute Trust (ULTH) to support in delivering the key LWC priorities. To manage service improvements and the delivery of the secondary care aspects of the Personalisation Agenda. This role will include working across the acute Trust with cancer multidisciplinary teams (MDT’s), Matrons and Business Units. This role will require effective communication with wider stakeholders including Lead cancer nurse, clinical leads and managers, Macmillan Partnership Quality Lead and patients. Person specification

Qualifications

Educated to Master’s degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area. Evidence of continued professional development. Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent. Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project. Previous Experience

Knowledge of the public sector and health service management. Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment. Demonstrated experience of planning and co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments. Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at SMT level. Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment. Evidence of Particular: - Knowledge - Skills - Aptitudes

Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly. Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required. Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures. Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated capabilities to manage own workload and make informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales. Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework: • Patient Centred • Safety • Compassion • Respect • Excellence. Specific Requirements
