Our SEND service is looking for a dedicated and passionate Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Coordinator to join our team and help us create a positive impact today! This is a full-time, permanent position (36 hours per week). Join us in transforming our service! The Role: In this role, you will manage a caseload of children and young people with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Your responsibilities will span the full process from statutory assessment through to placement, ensuring that all statutory requirements are met and that the final EHCPs are comprehensive and high-quality. You'll work closely with families, schools, and a wide range of partner agencies, including health and social care services, to ensure coordinated and effective support. Key responsibilities include: Chairing meetings and coordinating assessments. Ensuring the timely production of EHCPs that meet statutory deadlines. Managing school placements and supporting families through the process. Participating in annual reviews to track the progress of children and young people with SEND. Ensuring that children and young people with SEND receive the support they need to succeed. About You: To succeed in this role, you must be highly organised with strong case management skills, capable of handling complex cases and navigating the EHCP process with confidence. You should have a proven ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals, parents, and agencies, providing expert guidance and support. You will need to: Have a good understanding of SEND legislation and the EHCP process. Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills. Produce high-quality reports and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Manage sensitive and confidential information. Possess a collaborative approach, working closely with others to achieve the best outcomes. Be committed to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement. A full Enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
