Conduct cases in Civil and Criminal Courts, Tribunals, and Inquiries. Instruct Counsel and other experts as needed. Draft legal documents, including section 106 agreements. Attend and advise at Committee, Sub-Committee, and officer group meetings. Provide legal advice to departments on planning and corporate matters. Keep clients and officers informed of new legislation and case law. Investigate and report on legal matters and undertake projects. Provide legal comments for reports to Cabinet and other Committees. Assist departments in understanding new legislation and case law. Undertake Planning Inquiries for refusals of planning permission. Comply with Legal Services Lexcel and time recording requirements.
