He’s been rationalising suppliers across several of the seven sites—some of which manufacture everyday products, and others that create something truly bespoke. Going forward, this role will support all seven sites. Now, with a spend of roughly £30–£35 million, it’s time for you to step in and see where further savings can be made—without compromising on quality or delivery.
As Procurement Manager, you’ll be based at the Fareham site but overseeing procurement activities for six others. This role is about strategy. You’ll be crafting agreements, hammering out negotiations, and setting the framework for your colleagues to manage their day-to-day procurement. You know that small changes add up to big savings. Whether it’s switching a face-to-face meeting for a Teams call or finding a quicker way to streamline an order, you’re always thinking one step ahead. Your role is fluid; you know how to prioritise and spot opportunities to cut costs.
This is a standalone Procurement Manager role, reporting to the Managing Director. You’ll have regular contact with the buyers across the business, but they won’t report into you. They’ll look to you to guide the strategy and ensure everything flows smoothly across the sites. You’ll be dealing with blue-chip suppliers and local independent businesses alike. Suppliers see your name flash up and immediately brace themselves, knowing you’re focused not just on driving prices down, but also on maintaining high standards of delivery and quality.
