Full-time position Job Overview
Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of commissioning plans to deliver strategic and operational direction for children and young people, with a special focus on SEND and Alternative Education Provision. Support needs analysis to develop, implement, and review children’s services-related commissioning strategies. Contribute to the development and commissioning framework for children’s services. Utilize cooperative and co-productive commissioning techniques. Responsibilities
Contribute to the joint commissioning agenda to improve delivery and outcomes of commissioned services. Develop and implement commissioning plans that address sufficiency issues within SEND and Alternative Provision. Prepare reports on progress against identified objectives. Knowledge/Experience
Local Government experience is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of key national issues & programmes relevant to the client group and specified outcome/service area. Experience of commissioning projects, including needs assessment, performance management, and monitoring with a focus on children’s services. Experience of using management information for commissioning, performance management, and monitoring. Experience in service development, options appraisal, and system change with demonstrable programme management skills, including financial management.
