Role completed from Penrith Veterinary Investigation Centre (VIC). Not field-based. Dates:
06/01/2025 - 31/05/2025 Hours:
Full-time, Monday-Friday Duties
Veterinary surveillance, through the post-mortem examination of submissions and the use of diagnostic tests, to establish the likely cause of death/ diagnosis where possible. The main requirement is the ability to confidently do post-mortem examinations in a laboratory setting, on livestock species and reporting the findings and results. This involves the triage of cases, detailed clinical history taking and communication with Private Veterinary Surgeons within the North West area (namely Cumbria, Lancashire and West Yorkshire). Experience
Farm animal experience preferable, with an interest in pathology. No specific qualification beyond MRCVS, if relevant experience and post-mortem skills. If you or anybody you know is interested in this and fits the above criteria please email
