The Role and About the Person you are looking for:
We are recruiting to a permanent position as a Senior Housing Advisor within our busy Housing Advice team.
You will work closely with 2 other Senior Housing Advisors managing a team of Housing Advisors and Homeless Prevention Officers.
We are looking for an experienced and pro-active housing professional with a detailed knowledge of homelessness legislation, landlord and tenant law, and current guidance on choice-based lettings schemes, along with experience of working in a housing options setting.
In addition, they will have:
Experience of line management, or an understanding of the general principles underpinning effective staff management.
The ability to make clear and consistent decisions and give direction on complex cases and issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Sound planning and organisational skills.
The ability to forge positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
A proven track record as an effective team player.
An understanding of good customer service in a housing context with the potential to motivate others to deliver it.
Enhanced DBS check is required.

Hours:
This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday.
Contract:
Permanent.
Salary:
£40,476 - £45,718 per annum (City Pay Band 6).
Location:
Central Cambridge/home working.
