In Q4 2023, Intel announced Altera will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This will give Altera the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace, and defense sectors. This position is associated with that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future. This is a marketing and business development manager position responsible for accelerating adoption of FPGA solutions for the Military, Aerospace, and Government (MAG) Business Division. In this role, you will need to influence and enable our ecosystem of customers, governments, and partners' adoption, solution design, and integration of Altera FPGA products. The role will require travel up to 50% in the USA and European regions. The successful candidate will be responsible but not limited to: Develop a highly motivated and effective business development and marketing team. Develop a partner and SI ecosystem for generating demand and revenue for Altera FPGA solutions. Provide product presentations to the customer describing how Altera products provide the optimum solution to their application. Develop a strategy and marketing material with BU Partners, Sales, and Marketing. Translate Altera products' value propositions to customers' solutions designed for MAG markets. Conceptualize customers' solutions and translate them into key Altera or Altera ecosystem requirements and work with technical teams through the development cycle. Understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses relative to the appropriate technical strategy. Provide timely feedback to the factory on product and strategy issues to ensure Altera can respond to and/or anticipate changes. Understand Altera's business practices including pricing, forecasting, distribution, and Business Code of Ethics. Manage revenue growth and profitability by developing business relationships with third parties to complete business unit platform/product portfolios and accomplish business unit strategic objectives. Drive complex business transactions from deal conception and negotiations to contract closure with companies which positively and significantly impact the business bottom line and/or competitive position. Establish deal structures and business models comprehending intellectual property concerns, licensing scope, statements of work, go-to-market strategies, etc. as appropriate for the business. Contribute to business strategy development or other strategic projects as appropriate. Qualifications Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related. Minimum Qualifications: 9+ years of experience in Business Development or equivalent (i.e., strategic sales management or product line management). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in SoCs or high complexity IP block architecture. Experience in SoC/ASIC/FPGA RTL design and validation. Experience in radar and electronic warfare (EW) applications and system design. Experience reading and understanding schematic designs and board design. Experience in firmware development. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
