Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting opportunity for a Student Engagement Officer to join our team. Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire Salary: £11,166 - £11,400 per annum, pro rata of the full time equivalent (FTE) £23,669 - £24,165 per annum (Professional Services Grade 4 & 4a) Job Type: Permanent, Part Time, 20 hours per week, Term time only 36+2 weeks per year Closing Date: Sunday 5th January 2025 About Us: Wiltshire College & University Centre plays a vital role in Wiltshire's economy, inspiring people to develop the skills they need to achieve. Student Engagement Officer - The Role: At Wiltshire College & University Centre, we believe that a thriving student community is at the heart of educational success. As a Student Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing the student experience. You will be the driving force behind student-focused initiatives, fostering a supportive and enriching environment where students can excel both academically and personally. This is more than just a job - it's a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students. Student Engagement Officer - Key Responsibilities Champion Student Engagement: Collaborate with the Student Alliance and wider student body to design and lead events, initiatives, and activities that enrich college life. Voice of the Students: Act as a student advocate in meetings and committees, ensuring their views and ideas are heard at all levels. Action from Insights: Gather and analyse student feedback using surveys, focus groups, and other tools. Turn insights into actionable plans, delivering impactful changes and presenting findings to senior leadership. Empower Student Leaders: Support the recruitment, training, and development of Student Alliance members and student governors. Facilitate alliance meetings and ensure key issues are identified and addressed. Build a Vibrant Community: Promote and assist in the growth of student-led clubs, societies, sports, and social activities. Student Engagement Officer - You: We are looking for someone with: A dedication to student welfare and enhancing their college experience. Creative energy paired with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Strong organisational and analytical skills for managing feedback, action plans, and reporting. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with students, staff, and external stakeholders. Experience in coordinating events, managing student groups, or similar roles.
