We are looking for a small animal vet to join our team! Alveley Village vets are a team of 2 Vets (directors), 4 RVNS, 2 Receptionists, and a Practice Manager. We are an independent GP practice located in Alveley Village, Shropshire, and have been open since June 2023. Our lovely newly furnished building includes 3 consult rooms, a well-equipped lab, digital X-ray, ultrasound, dental, laser, a communal prep space including recovery kennels, theatre, and a separate dog and cat ward. Through our strong relationships with neighbouring practices, we also have access to CT and a scope. We regularly have visiting veterinary surgeons that perform more complex surgeries such as orthopaedic and advanced soft tissue surgery, as well as our lovely physiotherapist who helps us provide a complete service. We pride ourselves on providing excellent veterinary care that is affordable and treating all our patients like our own pets.
The role is a maternity cover contract with the potential to become permanent. We are ideally looking for someone who is seeking a part-time role, but hours/days can be discussed as our team dynamic is more important, so we can be flexible with hours/days. We are open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, with no OHH requirements, providing an excellent work-life balance. Salary depending on experience and qualifications.
