Then look no further! We are seeking a Senior Quality and Compliance Manager to join our team here at the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) Co-ordinating Centre. This is a new role to the team so now is a great time to join us and really help shape the role. Who are we? The NIHR funds, enables and delivers world-leading health and social care research that improves people's health and wellbeing and promotes economic growth. Our research helps turn discoveries into new or improved treatments, diagnostics, medical technologies and services. It provides those working in the NHS, public health, global health and social care with the evidence they need to better support patients, the public and people who need care. Working within our Contract Performance and Compliance team this role will design, implement and oversee our quality management system to ensure that we are compliant with our contractual requirements and statutory obligations. Other aspects of the role include: Responsible for ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and legislation by translating these into clear operational processes. Overseeing the gaining and maintaining of ISO accreditation for the organisation. Proactively identifying compliance requirements and ensuring compliance before commencement dates. Developing a robust set of checks and audits to maintain quality standards. Line managing the Quality and Compliance Administrator. Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone with experience of managing quality and compliance of any auditable standard and has in-depth knowledge of risk and controls management. In addition to this, you will be able to demonstrate: A proactive approach to work and the ability to identify compliance requirements. Ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and influence/negotiate with them. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex issues relating to systems into easily understood language for non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrable knowledge of current statutory and regulatory requirements, ideally within the research management environment. Although not essential, knowledge of ISO9001/27001/22301 would be advantageous. What can we offer you? We recognise that our staff are at the heart of what we do so we make sure we look after you!
