We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Learning Disability Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Highpoint, a category C Prison located in the village of Stradishall in Suffolk. This role is a permanent position based on 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm with some weekends / Bank Holidays. Salary:

This position is full time, with an annual salary between £42,094.00 - £47,466.00 per annum FTE - depending on experience. How will we support you? What you'll be doing: Have responsibility for a caseload and be accountable for all aspects of delivering a nursing service for adults with learning disabilities/challenging behaviour, within the criminal justice setting. Work with adults whose behaviours have resulted in their offending and coming into contact with the criminal justice system. Work with the multi-disciplinary team to undertake person-centred specialist behavioural assessments, planning, and coordination of positive non-aversive behavioural approaches to service users. Qualifications & Experience required: Registered Nurse - Learning Disabilities / NMC Evidence of Continued Professional Development Substantial experience working with adults with Learning disabilities with a range of clinical presentations Evidence of working in Learning disability health within a community or inpatient setting. Evidence of use of a range of standardized and non-standardized behavioural assessment tools supporting clinical reasoning.
