Job Description
Working for Eurofins Food Testing, the purpose of this role is to act as an interface between the customer and the laboratory in the reporting and enquiry handling and provide a high level of customer service. This will be a hybrid role working Monday to Friday 08:30 till 16:30. To assist and advise on the selection of appropriate tests, act as the principal contact for customers, and coordinate the service between the laboratory and the customer. To follow up on sample status, reporting and interpretation of results. Advise customers on appropriate testing regimes based on current legislation and industry practice. To carry out regular client reviews, to monitor client utilisation including spend and payment performance. Provide a high level of internal and external customer care. To prepare and update quotations for existing customers, and onboard customers using CRM and Europortal. To raise invoices when required and handle customer invoice queries. To support the sales team in the identification of customers’ needs and recommendation of testing requirements. To generate client specific reports with conclusions with a high level of quality and technical competence. Keep up to date with current techniques, topics and legislation that order to advise Eurofins and its customers on accurate implementation of their requirements. To be familiar with customer specific requirements and retailer standards e.g. Retailer Codes of Practice and Pesticide Residue Committee monitoring programmes. Qualifications
Chemistry qualification or experience working in a chemistry environment. Practical knowledge of commercial laboratory operation. Proven knowledge, understanding and experience of practical application of chemical analysis. Knowledge of industry standards and guidance for pesticides, contaminants and chemical analysis. Effective communication skills both written and oral. High level of attention to detail. Knowledge and understanding. To be able to communicate highly technical material to different levels within the business and to gain the confidence of the client. To have a basic understanding of costing and pricing strategies and assist in the preparation of commercial proposals for clients. Additional Information
