The Opportunity: At Komatsu Australia/New Zealand we employee over 3500 staff with more than 60,000 employees across the globe. Based in our Fairfield HQ, this position reports directly into the National Strategic Parts Manager and will within a team of 5. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage planning activities of slow-moving inventory ensuring optimized inventory levels, to improve customer satisfaction, while achieving operational financial budget targets. Other key focus areas for this role, are to support optimisation of planning processes, propose strategic improvements (including system settings), sales and operations process improvement, system setting improvement proposals, lead time analysis and inventory reporting to ensure continuous improvements. Key responsibilities are: Continuous Analysis to review and make recommendations using data driven decision making Maintain Operational targets such as Excess stock reduction, Policy Fill rate improvement, Total Inventory and Buffers Review shortages to security stock targets and regional demand plans and action accordingly Conduct root cause analysis and countermeasures to improve inventory position. Analyse and identify opportunities to reduce excess inventory and maintain healthy inventory levels Provide analysis and look for ways to drive continuous improvements Support and deliver strategic inventory management projects Engaging in Systems and processes to monitor SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) and maintain Planning requirements Collaboratively work with the managers to maintain and advance the Spare Parts KPIs Conduct Sales & Operations (S&OP) to obtain necessary data from Regional, Parts & Supply Chain Teams to optimize purchase recommendations from the system/manual recommendations. Monthly inventory reports, with strong reliance on data and data visualization to provide regular Standard reports as well as clear outcomes of improvement projects and opportunities for improvement.
