A Mechanical services contractor based in Taunton, Somerset. Working within the commercial and residential sectors. We carry out heating, plumbing, ventilation and air conditioning installations to Schools, Offices, Factories, Church’s and Residential Properties.
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Small Works Manager to join our team. As a Small Works Manager, you will be responsible for pricing small projects, seeing to Clients requirements to completion. Overseeing the day-to-day maintenance call outs. This is a key leadership role that requires strong management skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. Working on Projects £15,000 & under
Responsibilities
Manage and organising engineers to carry out small works as necessary. Negotiation, Order placing and corresponding with Specialist Sub Contractors. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Ability to work to deadlines, as part of a team and use own initiative. Attend sites to carry out surveys and gather information relevant for compiling quotations. Prepare cost estimates based on labour, plant, materials etc. Ability to create formal letters and quotations to clients.
Skills
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Heating and Plumbing. NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing Excellent communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure Good computer skills. Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices. Pro-activeness to follow up of quotes/enquiries and log feedback.
Pay: £45,000 – £50,000 Monday to Friday Additional Training coursers / HNC offered
