Job Introduction Senior Protection Officer (Security) The role Carlisle Support Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated professionals to join our team, working with our prestigious clients. You will be supported with over 600 Training Hours delivered monthly both internally and externally, with access to state of the art training information. Responsibilities The Senior Officer will be required to monitor, log and react to potentially illegal or unsocial activity on or around the University's grounds, buildings or facilities. The Senior Officer will be required 24 hours per day, seven days a week, 365 days per year which will include cover on bank and statutory holidays. The duties will include (but not be limited to): To support the Shift Manager in the role of team leadership. To act as team 'troubleshooter' on the ground. Directing Protection personnel as required providing Protection provision and ensuring a high profile service to deter and apprehend criminal activity. Responding to fire and intruder alarms and direct emergency services and/or personnel to support the safe evacuation of visitors, staff and students. Maintaining and where necessary recording radio communications between Protection personnel and other services/users. Identifying and logging inappropriate or incorrect car parking activity. Maintaining communication and a close working understanding with local police and emergency services. To promote the awareness of personal safety throughout the University community. SIA Door Supervision licence (Must Have) SIA CCTV Licence (Must Have) Full UK Drivers licence with 2 years driving experience with less than 6 points (Must Have) First aid at work is an advantage (3 day) we will provide training for the right candidate 5 years checkable work and address history Reliable, punctual, flexible, and smart in appearance Friendly, approachable, and always professional Enthusiastic and motivated to do a great job Ideally some experience within a Security environment or a customer facing role Able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner Some experience working within a Security environment and working as part of a team Effective people skills, able to interact with clients and customers in a positive manner Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes. This could include the following: passport, driving licence, utility bill dated in the last 3 months, HMRC letter, original bank statement, original payslip, birth certificate or a valid share code.
