We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Stud Manager to oversee the operations of our esteemed farming establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of livestock management, particularly in relation to breeding programs and the overall welfare of the animals. As a Stud Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, breeding, and training of our livestock, with a focus on maximizing productivity and maintaining the health of the breeding stock. You will work closely with a team of agricultural specialists, veterinarians, and farm workers to implement best practices in animal husbandry and breeding techniques. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in the development of breeding strategies, dietary plans, and overall farm management to enhance the quality and performance of our stock. Your contributions will be vital in promoting a sustainable farming environment that adheres to industry standards while fostering innovation in breeding practices. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the stud farm Handle the foals and stallions Perform grounds maintenance work Operate the tractor Develop and implement breeding programs to enhance livestock quality Monitor the health and wellbeing of all animals on the farm Collaborate with veterinarians for regular health checks and treatments Maintain accurate records of breeding cycles, health assessments, and stock performance Train and supervise farm staff in proper animal handling and care practices Coordinate nutritional programs to ensure optimal animal health and growth Requirements

Experience in livestock management, specifically in breeding operations Strong understanding of animal husbandry practices and welfare standards Excellent organizational and leadership abilities Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays as required Proficiency in using farm management software and record-keeping systems
