With a workforce of over 10,000 dedicated employees, this entity serves the community by providing essential services and implementing government policies. Job Description Develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives and category management plans. Provide a proactive procurement service to the Care Group or Corporate Division(s) that you work with, covering both strategic advice and operational support. Establish relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve procurement objectives. Monitor supplier performance and carry out regular performance reviews. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices in procurement. Ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations and policies. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve supply chain efficiency. Manage risks within the procurement and supply chain department. The Successful Applicant A successful Interim Category Lead should have: A degree in Business, Economics, or related field. Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management in the public sector. Expertise in strategic procurement and category management. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. In-depth understanding of public sector procurement regulations. Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
