The Opportunity Our friendly practice at Gossops Green sits at the heart of the local community in the leafy suburbs of Crawley, close to beautiful rolling countryside and great transport links to London and Brighton. We have access to local shops and facilities, only a short walk from our practice, as well as the local Mill Pond which is popular for spotting kingfishers! With an increase in surgical and consult caseloads, especially for Nurse consultations, we’re looking for a brand new registered veterinary nurse, ideally with clinical coaching experience, to join our team in this thriving, spacious and well-equipped practice with an internal IDEX machine and a large surgical theatre. The friendly team consists of 2 vets, one new grad, 1 Head Nurse, 2 student nurses and a veterinary and client care assistant. We take pride in delivering exceptional care to our patients as a professional and compassionate team with a flexible approach to work. For full time nurses, there is an option to work five 8-hour shifts, or 4 10-hour shifts, with weekends on a 1 in 6 basis at our 24-hr centre just down the road at Faygate with DOIL back the following week. In this role you will: Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients. Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity. Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule activities. Deliver patient monitoring and care. Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team. Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care. Dispense and check medication. Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards. Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice. Your Skills and Experience RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care. Experienced in working effectively as part of a team. Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency. Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
