Short Summary
Our Digital Midwife is an essential part of our Product Team, providing expert clinical knowledge in relation to the development, workflows and features for our maternity product ensuring we align with NHS guidance for Maternity such as NHS Digital, NICE, RCOG guidelines, UKOSS.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
Designing and managing system configuration ensuring clinical workflows are appropriate
Assessing product change requests from existing customers in line with national standards
Contributing towards the mock-ups/design of user interfaces and clinical workflows for the software engineers to build
Writing clinical updates for the system and working with the service team to advise of customer queries
Supporting pre-sales activities such as product demonstrations and tender responses for new bids
Managing the clinical RFCs with our Commercial Team and Customers
Keeping up to date with changes to NHS guidance for Maternity such as NHS Digital, NICE, RCOG guidelines, UKOSS.
Promoting the adoption of the National Maternity Record standards internally and in the customer base
Working alongside the maternity Product Manager providing expert clinical knowledge to support new product development and existing product evolution
What experience do I need:
You must be a Registered Midwife together with extensive experience within a Maternity Team.
Knowledge of all aspects of maternity including hospital and community
Good technical knowledge of IT systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills relating to IT systems
Familiar with the NHS agenda to move to digital maternity records and processes
Knowledge of wider healthcare IT systems e.g. PAS/EPR/Ultrasound
Ability to assemble high level product solutions for customer opportunities
Ability to positively influence internal teams and customers
Able to work with customers – midwives/consultants/anaesthetists/heads of midwifery etc and internal colleagues in Product, Sales and Operations
Familiar with MSDS/CNST/MTP
Confident and credible presentation skills
