The successful appointee will be joining an existing team of 5 Consultants who have a philosophy of team working and who are constantly seeking to provide a first-class service in a caring and patient-oriented environment. The appointee will be asked to fulfil various responsibilities such as having a wide general interest and an interest in Head & Neck including possibly Thyroid. The post will include on-call, theatre and outpatient clinics both on the acute site and in community settings.
In addition, they will be asked to fulfil other responsibilities such as: Teaching and training at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Supervising and training juniors and specialty doctors. Being proactive in ensuring that all patients receive rapid assessment, treatment, and clinical decision-making. Liaising with clinicians and managers within and outside the department to address any issues arising that may affect the services.
