We are urgently seeking a Network Engineer with an interest in Cyber Security to join our fast-growing, dynamic technology company based in Hampshire on a permanent basis. Required skills: 1-3 years’ experience with business-centric computer networking (small business/SME/corporate). The ideal candidate will be installing, configuring, and maintaining “managed” network switches and, preferably, firewalls. Routing and connecting network and power cables in IT equipment cabinets and being able to trace cabling from patch panel to destination port/device. 1-3 years’ experience working with Windows Server domains and have an understanding of Active Directory. Understanding of networking topologies (be able to create and interpret basic network diagrams). Knowledge of standard network terminology and concepts, e.g., DHCP server/client, NAT, PAT, network traffic routing/VLAN. Candidates will be required to visit customer sites for small-scale installation of networking equipment (e.g., Firewall), so a UK driving licence and own car is required.
