Vickerstock are working in partnership with a logistics firm on the appointment of a QHSE Compliance Officer. Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of the QHSE standards across the organisation, including audits, site inspections and training, to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Up to £40k - dependant on experience 32 days holiday Full healthcare plan (after 6 months) Continuous professional development programmes Modern office facilities Employee assistance programme Long service recognition plan Cycle to work scheme Pension contributions In your new role: Conducting internal audits and site inspections for Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards across the organisation Performing regular compliance checks and updating records accordingly Collecting, reviewing, and assessing essential documentation from sub-contractors Coordinating and delivering employee QHSE induction programs Gathering and evaluating necessary documentation from contractors, conducting contractor inductions, and maintaining precise records Supporting QHSE and Product Safety awareness initiatives for staff through various campaigns Participating in the investigation and reporting of accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented Compiling data and completing all QHSE administrative tasks, ensuring records are up to date Assisting in the review and update of current QHSE policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation Continuously collaborating with line managers to enhance their safety responsibilities for their teams Drive initiatives to continually improve the ISO Management Systems What you will need to succeed: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role NEBOSH Certification ISO Internal Auditor or equivalent experience Experience working with, maintaining, and implementing ISO standards (ISO 9001,14001,45001) Knowledge of relevant QHSE regulations and standards Attention to detail and demonstrable communication skills Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't): Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) preferred Understanding of BRC Global Standards Experience in QHSE management systems and procedures Experience in ISO 28000 For a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
