A new Procurement Consultant job role in Manchester, with a leading global consultancy organisation in a specialist procurement division.

Procurement Consultant will work alongside a highly skilled team delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services.

The successful candidate will likely have a strong background across the procurement lifecycle, including strategy development and tender preparation.

Procurement Consultant candidates with experience within Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure (such as roads, rail) sectors would be ideal. Procurement Consultant will be delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services to some of the larger brands and on the most exciting programmes and projects You will deliver services to public and private sector clients with a focus in central and local government, defence, infrastructure, power and utilities.

Flexible remote working is supported on the basis that candidates understand that there will need to be regular weekly visits to the office for specific meetings and tasks. Responsibilities and Duties

To provide specialist procurement strategy advice to Public and Private sector clients. To manage and collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services for major projects or programmes. Support the development of the procurement services To support business development and marketing of the department To support the delivery of both team and wider business targets. To support on bid preparation and proposal documentation and support the work-winning capability Desired Skills and Experience

Experience of leading and/or supporting projects in a strategic procurement environment. Preferably possess experience working in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure (roads, rail etc) sectors A strong background in tender preparation and development of respective documents in relevant sectors (including design and preparation of the process and key documentation). Experience of leading and/or supporting in supplier engagement activities, to include market engagement through to contract award. Cross sector experience with Public/Utilities Contract Regulations or equivalent. Experience of using a range of standard form contracts including NEC and JCT, developing terms, negotiation and award. Ability to develop procurement strategy within a project or programme context. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Understanding of commercial principles and modelling. Qualifications/Educational Requirements

Preferably a degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement. MCIPS accreditation achieve – or is working/willing to work towards MCIPS accreditation. Employing Company Overview and Profile
