Data Manager – Business Intelligence Manchester City Centre to £55,000 + bonus & benefits

Niche financial services organisation in the city centre has an opportunity for a BI Manager to join them. You’ll lead a dynamic technical team that engages and communicates cross functionally with the goal of the provision of high-quality insightful management information.

The Role

Implement a reporting framework across the business to ensure reporting is developed and delivered within the SLAs. Satisfy client, investor and company needs for information on the performance of our inventory. Provide operations KPI data and preparation of management information packs as required to enable the business to make the best use of available data. Construction of a best in class Data Warehouse that consolidates data from a wide range of sources across the business units. Ensure an appropriate level of control and documentation around the reporting framework suitable for an FCA regulated environment. Responsibility for data orchestration to oversee timely and accurate population of data-marts. Provide consultation and development skills for bespoke technical business projects. Champion continuous improvement and evaluate novel tools in BI and MI development and automation. Candidate Profile Advanced SQL to DBA standard. SSIS package design and development. Experience of reporting tools such as SSRS, Crystal Reports/Business Objects. Advanced Excel to VBA Macro Level. Extensive Management Information Systems experience. Knowledge of HTML5, ASP and .NET application development. Ability to read/write technical processes and apply into practice. Strong analytical skills and highly numerate with the ability to use data to provide technical solutions. Work with Database Administrators and IT Infrastructure to ensure consistent data availability. Proven experience of working in a fast paced and change orientated business. Partnering stakeholders in the development of report requirements and delivery of reports, automating wherever possible. Experience in workload prioritising and associated resource planning. Strong leadership, influence, and coaching skills.
