A prestigious Consultancy is seeking an Engineer to bolster their Transport Planning team. This position calls for an individual eager to immerse themselves in a variety of projects, from crafting small scale access assessments to orchestrating Transportation Assessments for strategic development sites.

The selected candidate will join a supportive and collaborative environment, playing a pivotal role in the advancement of the Transport Planning team and the broader business. This is a chance to leave a tangible mark on the community by contributing to the design and planning of essential transport networks.

Key Responsibilities:

Design transport infrastructure schemes using AutoCAD, adhering to industry standards. Conduct and manage road network analysis. Generate technical reports, including Transportation Assessments, Access Appraisals, and Travel Plans.

Desired Skills and Experience:

A degree in civil engineering or a related discipline is essential. Proven experience in transport engineering and planning, with a focus on development planning, traffic engineering, and sustainable transport planning. Proficiency in Junctions 9, LINSIG, TRANSYT, with Paramics Discovery knowledge advantageous. Familiarity with SCOTS/DMRB roads design principles and infrastructure design. Experience in conducting feasibility studies. Affiliation with a relevant professional body (CIHT, ICE) and progression towards incorporated or chartered status is favourable. Competence in AutoCAD software is a must. Postgraduate qualifications in transport planning or engineering would be an asset.
