Qualified Social Worker, Approved Mental Health Practitioner, Stockport Council, Adult Mental Health Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team. The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager. The responsibilities will include: Must be an Approved Mental Health Professional under the Mental Health Act. Experience of covering duty, multi-disciplinary work, good knowledge of mental health problems/symptoms/treatments. Direct work with service users who suffer from mental health illnesses. Carry out Mental Health Act assessments in the borough and on occasions outside of the borough. Secondary Care/Community Care and Discharges. Detailed knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. NHS & Community Care Act, Representation Of Carers Act, Mental Health Act. 37 hours. 3 Month Temporary Contract. Start date subject to CRB and reference clearance. The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current CRB, and be a car driver.
