JOB SUMMARY

As the Product Manager (High Visibility) at Portwest, you will lead the development and management of our high-visibility product range, ensuring it meets the highest industry standards for safety, durability, and innovation. You will be responsible for driving product strategy, conducting market analysis, and managing the product lifecycle from concept to delivery. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers, you will optimize product offerings while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Your role will also involve mentoring junior team members and serving as the technical expert for high-visibility products, ensuring the successful execution of projects that meet both commercial and customer expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage deadlines to ensure timely project completion.

Conduct competitor analysis to inform commercial decisions for your product range.

Present product proposals to a selection committee and other stakeholders for approval.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Occasional travel may be required to meet with the product team and suppliers in person.

Optimize product costs to deliver maximum value to our customers.

Serve as the technical expert for your product range.

Oversee the creation of comprehensive technical specifications for products.

Lead the approval process for samples, from initial stages to final sealed tape, mentoring junior team members throughout.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Product Management role.

Relevant degree in design or garment technology.

Strong commercial acumen and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
