Our locally owned, progressive practice based in the Cathedral city of Peterborough, is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team.

About us We are a small but busy practice with an extremely friendly, relaxed and supportive environment with possibly the best nursing team you will have the pleasure to work with. We see a wide variety of cases giving great case exposure and aim to support our team as much as possible, helping to direct CPD into areas our vets want to learn.

Our diary is arranged so that Vets are given breaks between consults to allow them to catch up, deal with more complicated cases and complete any admin required and we also have a WhatsApp chat to discuss cases and help further support each other.

As a social team, we frequently participate in social events outside of work and work with local charities to support our community.

Our practice itself is based close to the city centre and less than 10 minutes' walk from the train station within a busy Pets at Home store and is purpose built to industry leading standards.

By joining the Peterborough practice you will be part of a team dedicated to providing a high standard of patient care and equally committed to providing a work environment where everyone can thrive and progress.

About you We are looking for a vet confident with routine surgeries that is able to work between 2 - 4 days a week with 1 in 4 Saturdays to join our experienced team of 3 Vets, 4 RVNs, 3 SVNs and fantastic support team. You will be given a dedicated surgery day and, if necessary, will have support from more experienced vets to improve your surgical skills.

In addition to a salary of £45-60k (dependent on experience) we also offer:

Enhanced annual leave Pension scheme CPD funding including support for Certificates Exclusive colleague discounts with High Street retailers and restaurants Pastoral care, emotional wellbeing and support Paid memberships - RCVS and VDS Relocation fee / Joining bonus to be considered on an individual basis

So, if you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service, then we would love to hear from you!

If you'd like any further information about this vacancy, the practice or our company please contact our Talent Acquisition team via email; EastVets@vets4pets.com for an informal and confidential conversation.

Alternatively, you can submit your application directly to us now and somebody will be in touch with you to discuss this further. We look forward to hearing from you!

Pets just see people. They aren't biased and they don't discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don't perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
