We have an opportunity for an Audiologist to join their team of staff in the Nursing department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis. You will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Applicants should meet the following criteria: BSc(Hons) / Diploma in Audiology or equivalent Holder of UK State Registration in Audiology Registration council for clinical physiologist (RCCP) Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent Functional skills level 2 evidence Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems Previous experience working within a private healthcare environment Duties of this role include: Support the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community Support the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge/skill and expertise Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients; demonstrate courage to speak up when there are concerns about care Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience Contribute to the core aspects of adult aural rehabilitation and diagnostic testing Participate in the supply of batteries, re-tubing of ear moulds and taking impressions Deal with queries and problems presented by patients and carers and refer them to the appropriate professional if required Perform ward visits to patients for general maintenance repairs to hearing aids and taking ear mould impressions as required Participate in the development of the service Participate in diagnostic and rehabilitative service developments Attend departmental training programmes to meet the needs of the service Assist in the delivery of training packages Work closely with all members of the Audiology/ENT/Clinical Engineering teams Work towards agreed objectives and demonstrate Circle Health Group behaviours at all times Commit to ensuring quality services are delivered to both internal & external stakeholders through continuous improvement activities Comply with Circle Health Group Policies and Procedures relevant to this role, ensuring you are fully aware of your responsibilities within these policies Demonstrate awareness of regulatory requirements, taking appropriate action to ensure these requirements are implemented and adhered to Ensure compliance with all Infection Prevention and Control policies and procedures, understanding your role in the prevention of infection in patients and staff Be aware of your responsibilities in relation to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, ensuring you are aware of your responsibilities, supporting policies and undertake the appropriate level of training for your role Undertake specific role-related competencies and learning, ensuring 100% compliance of all relevant mandatory training within Learning Space timescales Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act, ensuring appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff and contractors Salary & Benefits: Circle Health Group Healthcare offers a competitive hourly rate. “Our culture is a result of the way our people live and breathe our philosophy, which combines our purpose, principles and values.
