Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a small purchasing department, ensuring efficient procurement of materials. Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best terms and quality. Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Essential Requirements:
CIPS Qualification:
A Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification is mandatory. People Management Experience:
Proven experience in managing and leading a small team. Manufacturing Purchasing Experience:
Extensive experience in both direct and indirect purchasing within a manufacturing environment. ERP Systems:
Must be a champion of effective development and use of manufacturing ERP systems.
