Hays are working in partnership with a leading Civils & Construction contractor in their recruitment for a MEICA Manager. With over 80 years’ experience of delivering world-class projects across the UK and Ireland, this is a great opportunity for an experienced MEICA Engineer to join their civils division.
Your new role
As a MEICA Manager, you will work across projects offering support to site teams, ensuring that the MEICA systems are designed, installed and commissioned to required standards in a timely and efficient manner. This role will involve 3 days travel within UK and/or RoI on a weekly basis, but the option of working from home for the remaining 2 days.
Main Responsibilities:
Managing delivery of utilities to meet programme constraints
Managing pre-construction activities and deliverables associated with any MEICA subcontract and associated interfaces
Ensuring coordination with other design disciplines
Supporting excellence in health and safety standards
Managing technical approvals to ensure compliance, acceptance and timely procurement
Ensuring MEICA programme milestones are achieved
Providing technical support to site teams with regard to subcontract works
Ensuring installation standards are adhered to and compliant with contractual requirements
Regular reporting on KPI’s
Ensuring systems are commissioned in a timely manner and in line with industry standards and project requirements
Build and maintain relationships with supply chain
Strong drive for continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
Self-starter able to work within different teams across the business
Relevant qualification (Degree/HND) or time served in any of the following:
Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Instrumentation & Control Engineering
5+ years industry experience
Independent working and drive for results
Knowledge of MEICA systems
Water/wastewater experience
Access to a vehicle and qualified to drive
Excellent time management
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrate strong Microsoft Office knowledge
