Location: Bridgwater

Job offered by: Bright Leaf Recruitment
·
Our client's hospital based near Bridgwater has a vacancy for a full-time veterinary professional to join their team; however, they are flexible and can consider part-time applications.

Due to exciting expansion, they are looking to grow their wonderful team. This is a well-established team who are looking for a friendly and approachable team player to join them. Ideally, they are looking for someone with experience, as this is a teaching hospital that caters to new graduates. The team really is everything, and it is very important that as they get busier, they neither want to compromise on patient care nor burn out the current staff. Therefore, they are looking to welcome an additional Vet to assist with this.

Ideally, this is a full-time role, but the client is open to considering part-time hours for the right candidate. Full-time is 40 hours a week (with weekends worked is a 36-hour week). This will include consult days, theatre days, inpatient shifts, and a day out at a nearby branch surgery. Working a 4-day week with the same day off in the week is preferred. Weekends are worked on a rota basis between the full-time vets (1:6 full weekend, 1:6 half weekend - which may become more diluted as the team grows). There are no OOH as they run their own dedicated out-of-hours service for the area and no Bank holidays.

The client is open to tailoring the role to your interests and would be keen to offer a consult-only role if that would be desirable.

The hospital is very well equipped with:

Digital X-Ray

State of the art ultrasound

Video endoscope

Dental suite and x-ray

Chemotherapy and cancer treatments

Laparoscopic surgical equipment

Orthopaedic equipment

Class 4 laser therapy

Full lab including biochem, haematology, electrolyte and hormone level testing

Full intensive care facilities

Salary for this position is from £45 - £55k pa DOE.
