About the role Yooralla has a vacancy in Mitcham for a passionate, positive relationship builder, with experience working with a transdisciplinary team model to join our team as a permanent full-time or part-time Adult Speech Pathologist. This fulfilling role will provide best practice, evidence-based speech pathology services across the scope of practice to adults with a disability to achieve their goals and live the life they choose. Your working days may involve: delivering therapy in people's homes, educational settings or in the community; aimed at supporting clients to achieve their goals communication skills and/or mealtime safety and promoting overall health and wellbeing. working as part of an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists providing indirect client service/family coordination to support client goals. About You You’ll be an established and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, good interpersonal skills, and ability to engage people with a disability, motivate them and build their capability. You’ll have an ability to work in partnership with adults with a disability to set and achieve goals, and to work collaboratively with the person’s supports, including their families. experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families a willingness to improve on your clinical practice – including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you’re not familiar with Current membership with SPA care for the work you do and for the people you work with competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills an Australian driver’s licence and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel across the Eastern region of Melbourne as required Appointment is subject to pre-employment checks including the NDIS Worker Screening Check, Inherent Position Requirements Employee Declaration, Working with Children’s Check, Reference Checks, AHPRA Registration Check and evidence of up to date COVID-19 vaccinations.
