About the Company

- Our client is a leading international manufacturing business with an enviable reputation in their field. They are growing quickly both organically and via acquisition and are now looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager to join their management team. About the Role

- This individual will be pivotal in helping the group develop a cost-effective supplier base. Working alongside other functions you will support the strategic planning and negotiation process. Responsibilities

Create a tender framework and support the tendering process Ensure that products are bought at the right cost and regularly review Manage supplier contracts and negotiate T & C's Support the companies ESG plan Manage a small team and develop those individuals Work on direct sourcing of certain components when market conditions allow Manage and contribute to the monthly planning cycle Monitor KPI's and ensure the supply chain operates within agreed parameters Qualifications

Strong negotiation skills, can demonstrate excellent relationship-building skills across the company and with suppliers 3 - 10 years of purchasing experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to travel occasionally overseas to other group companies and suppliers UK CIPS membership or equivalent or qualified by experience Good understanding of sub-contract manufacturing This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with real opportunities to progress for the right individual.
