Kettering General NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dynamic clinical pharmacist with excellent communication and leadership skills to join our established, friendly clinical pharmacy team. The post holder will be a central part of the pharmacy Education & Training and Women’s & Children’s services team, contributing towards the clinical pharmacy services provided to Women’s & Children’s services and supporting the multi-disciplinary team with medicines management, medicines optimisation, and medication safety advice. Main duties of the job
This post will be pivotal within the pharmacy team as a leader in E&T and W&Cs services, acting as a role model to others and eventually deputising for the Lead Pharmacist for Professional Development. To be responsible for organising and managing all aspects of trainee pharmacist training and assessment. Ensure the standards set by the HEI, NHSE, GPhC, Trust, and Pharmacy department are met. To manage and support trainee pharmacists, undergraduate placements, summer students, and post-graduate diploma pharmacists. To support the Regional NHSE TPF in organising training for trainee pharmacists. To manage medicines management training for students, doctors, and nurses. To deliver, develop, and evaluate clinical pharmacy services to women’s and children’s services. To provide expert pharmaceutical advice, undertake risk management, and ensure compliance with medicines legislation. To ensure the efficient and cost-effective use of medicines, utilising local and national data to drive improvements in efficiencies. Working for our organisation

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Pharmacy Registration with the GPhC Postgraduate qualification in hospital Pharmacy Registered Independent prescriber Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) Member of the RPS Faculty Knowledge / experience
5 years post-registration UK hospital experience Clinical experience in a range of ward/clinical areas Experience of leading or implementing change Good clinical knowledge of commonly prescribed medicines Good knowledge of NICE guidelines for common conditions Good knowledge of the NHS and current priorities Skills
