Your Role Through understanding the needs of the people you support, you’ll provide exceptional care that truly changes lives. Help the people we support to engage in meaningful opportunities and activities – empowering them to enjoy a great life filled with amazing experiences. Get involved in the community, support during leisure and social activities, and celebrate special occasions. Lead the team to communicate appropriately, considering individual communication needs, and helping people to communicate effectively with others, too. Engage in learning and development opportunities for the team ensuring that training compliance levels are met and maintained. Your Service Black Bull is our brand-new residential living service consisting of 8 individual apartments with internal and external communal spaces. Supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs that some may find challenging. We are looking for a self-starter to join the Consensus team to be at the centre and development of a brand-new service situated in the heart of the local community. Next Steps Once you’ve applied our dedicated in-house recruitment team will call to share more about the role. The next step will be an interview in the service, where you’ll meet the team and the people we support. If successful, we’ll organise your Free DBS Check and references prior to confirming your start date. Your journey will then begin with a 3-day online induction, before heading to the service to get started. We welcome applications from all backgrounds. You will already have experience in the social care sector or NHS or may be looking for your next step (Mental Health Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant). As long as you come with a person-centred approach, a caring nature, and you are able to demonstrate a commitment to working as part of a team to support disabled and autistic people – then we’re here to provide you with the training and knowledge needed to succeed.
