Business Development Manager (Dispute Resolution and Family) – Business Development & Marketing

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Business Development and Marketing Manager to support our growing Dispute Resolution and Family practices. You will be responsible for driving business development initiatives for our commercial and corporate disputes, trust and estate disputes, and family teams. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience of marketing litigation services to a wide variety of clients. You will have the autonomy to drive forward ideas in a supportive and collaborative environment and be encouraged to explore innovative approaches to developing business leads and profile raising for the practice. Working as part of an energetic BD and Marketing team, you will have shared resource from a BD and Marketing Assistant and Executive, as well as specialists in digital marketing and events. Key Duties And Responsibilities Include

Develop and implement an overarching marketing and business development strategy for the Dispute Resolution practice, that feeds into individual plans for each team. Work with partners and fee earners to initiate and drive forward business development initiatives that will enhance the reputation of the practice and grow relationships with target clients and intermediaries. Create and execute marketing campaigns to promote the firm’s dispute resolution services, by identifying opportunities to promote unique and specialist subject areas of interest to our clients and making use of the full marketing toolkit including digital, events, and thought leadership content. In the case of the Family team, with the support of our external PR agency, source relevant and strategic PR opportunities and ensure this is integrated with the practice areas marketing campaigns and BD initiatives. Support fee earners to build, track and grow relationships with key intermediaries and referral sources. Champion and encourage cross-selling of services from across the firm to and from the Dispute Resolution practice. Work with the firm’s other key practice areas particularly Private Wealth and Corporate to collaborate on joint BD initiatives and leverage mutual contacts. Co-ordinate and provide strategic advice on the preparation of pitches, proposals, and presentations for potential clients. Support the teams’ profile raising through events and conferences as well as the overseas trips they engage in and ensure that ROI is planned for and monitored. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development and marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Co-ordinate the annual directories process, as well as submissions for other relevant rankings, listings and awards.
