Job Description The Wellington Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK, is currently recruiting a Senior Staff Nurse to join the Interventional Radiology team.

The Senior Radiology Nurse will be accountable for clinical practice, the delivery of quality clinical care, and a customer-focused service with the Radiology team. The post holder will also support the Radiologist and Radiographers in the management of the clinical areas, including assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care.

Duties & Responsibilities

Supports the team during interventional radiology cases in x-ray, CT and ultrasound.

Assists in the provision of expert advice and interventions within radiology that maintains and improves standards of care.

Demonstrates the skills for assessing and interpreting specialist acute and other patient conditions, initiating actions as appropriate.

Supports the Radiology department by providing a high standard of care for both in-patients and out-patients.

Contributes to the principles of clinical governance, ensuring that quality standards are set and monitored.

Contributes towards a multi-professional approach in the management of patients within Interventional Radiology and Imaging.

Assumes leadership duties during the absence of the designated lead nurse; leads and supervises nursing staff to ensure effective patient care.
