Job overview

We are looking for skilled bank nurses to join the James Paget Hospital. The nurse should at all times act in such a manner as to justify public trust and confidence to safeguard the interest of individual patients. Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care. Key responsibilities include: Ensure that agreed standards of nursing practice within the ward/department area are maintained. Ensure that all Trust, Divisional, and Ward/Department Health & Safety Policies are adhered to. Maintain personal contact with patients, other health care disciplines, relatives, and visitors. Provide mentorship support of new staff and student nurses. Undertake appropriate enhanced roles, following necessary training, e.g. IV drug administration, ECG recording. Ensure safe custody and administration of drugs, in accordance with Trust Policy. Working for our organisation

Education and qualifications

Registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Diploma/degree in nursing studies or working towards. Experience and knowledge

Relevant experience in the past 12 – 18 months of looking after patients in a healthcare environment. Previous NHS experience within the last 12 months. Previous experience within an Acute setting. Broad clinical knowledge base. The
