The Community Nurse role is a highly skilled role which involves skills such as Picc lines/IV’s as these are skills that are very much key to being an excellent Community Nurse. As a Community Nurse, you will deal with a variety of patients in their own homes. The role will involve but is not limited to: Responsibility for contributing to the holistic assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care. Implementing, monitoring and maintaining our high standards of care. Re-assessing and re-evaluating programmes of care when needed. Supporting our in-house mentorship training scheme with placement students and staff. Being an active member of the team sharing best practice whenever possible. This is a challenging but ultimately rewarding position where you will be supported both within your teams and by regular reflection & professional training. Available shifts Monday - Sunday: 8.15am – 4.15pm 10.45am – 6:45pm Please note that all Community Nursing roles are designated essential car users, therefore applicants should have a current driving licence and access to a vehicle to be considered for this position. Qualifications & Training
RN (Adult Branch) Current NMC Registration (or awaiting confirmation of qualification and registration at time of application) Preparation for mentorship/ENB 998/ equivalent or willing to undertake. Degree Experience
Experience of writing accurate records. Evidence of provision of high standards of clinical care. Valid UK Driving Licence and the use of a vehicle for work purposes and the ability to competently use a ‘satnav’. Teaching and assessing skills. Experience in administration of drugs or be willing to attend study days. Knowledge of standard setting/clinical audit. Community experience/ Community placement.
