The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Forensic Examiner to join our fantastic team at our site based in the Midlands. This is a truly exciting time to begin or continue your career with our first-class business. The candidate will be expected to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as defined strategies from the Reporting Officer. Shift work, on-call working, and bank holiday cover will be a requirement of the Examiner upon completing the required training.

Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work, applicants should note that security clearance is required for this role. To gain security clearance, you must have five years continuous residency in the UK. Further information on the security clearance process and requirement can be found at

this link . In addition, all successful applicants will be required to undertake drug and alcohol testing prior to commencing employment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out a variety of examinations of exhibits to standard operating procedure requirements and required turnaround times. You will also be accountable for maintaining set KPIs and competencies.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate good organisational skills and attention to detail along with previous laboratory experience (preferable but not essential), is highly motivated, enthusiastic, and possesses the competence and team spirit to support others and contribute to a positive culture. Here at EFS, integrity and customer focus is at the heart of everything we do. Having high levels of resilience and flexibility and the ability to work to deadlines would be a distinct advantage and will see you excel in this role.

If you have knowledge of working in a commercial forensic setting, then we would love to hear from you.
