About The Role

We are looking for a Wellbeing Practitioner to join the team at Compass Be. The role will support children and young people in educational and community settings to work towards improving their mental health and emotional wellbeing. A caseload of children and young people will be held to support the team around the family, completing early help assessments and working alongside other professionals to achieve mutual goals. The interventions include 1-1 psychoeducation designed around individual needs to access wellbeing support.

About You

You will have experience or a passion for working with children with adverse childhood experiences and special educational needs. You will have experience delivering direct wellbeing support, which could include psychoeducational workshops, 1-1 direct interventions, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and support/care planning. The post holder will be responsible for supporting service development and embedding services within education and community settings in Barnsley. They will hold a caseload for children and young people with ACES or SEN. This involves the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for the parent or carer of the child or young person. The post holder is also responsible for developing and disseminating packages of care. The care may include a variety of interventions for children and young people and working with parents and teaching staff both individually and in group settings. They will also offer specialist support, consultation, and training to staff within the service and other agencies where appropriate.
