This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader, with an in-depth knowledge of eRostering and Temporary Staffing, to manage the Rostering and Resourcing team for Lincolnshire Community Health Services.

It provides effective management of temporary staffing placements within the Trust, in order to support a flexible, safe and cost-effective workforce. The rostering and resourcing team provide an extremely active and successful flexible staffing service to the Trust for all groups of staff including nursing, medical locums, estates and facilities, admin & clerical, allied health professionals and healthcare scientists.

The Senior Health Roster Specialist is responsible for service delivery, operational management, and leadership of the Rostering and Resourcing team (8 staff) to deliver effective, safe, and cost-effective services to the Trust and Group.

This post is likely to commence from May 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Continue the implementation of HealthRoster across clinical wards and departments in line with related targets set. Plan and deliver training to clinical and management staff on how to use the system to roster staff and to access relevant KPIs and reports. Plan and deliver/implement links for each area to payroll. Provide second-level helpdesk advice and support daily and amend/rebuild templates and rules as required. Ensure E-Rostering and ESR data on new starters, leavers, and contracted hours are in unison. Provide advice and support to the Centralised Staffing Solutions Function. Work operationally across group and differing locations; a car and driving license will be essential. Support the implementation and maintenance of the HealthRoster system and new developments. Collect data and produce ward roster data including staff working restrictions in line with the Trust’s Management and Production of Staff Rosters Policy and Procedure. Produce dummy rosters during the rollout phase for individual areas, anticipating and addressing issues with clinical staff/management as required. Maintain appropriate records in line with the Trust’s policies and procedures. Work with roster users to problem-solve and rectify poor auto roster performance. Produce requested system reports and analyze and audit information produced by the E-Roster system. Participate in the orientation and training of newly appointed staff to the system, identifying and providing additional support and coaching where necessary. Provide day-to-day support for the users of HealthRoster and associated systems. Keep an ‘Issue and problems raised log’ to develop future teaching plans and notifications to system users. Attend any relevant training in connection with major system updates and changes to ensure system continuity. Keep training materials and workbooks up to date with developments to ensure consistent version control. Facilitate sharing of best practices with other users across the NHS. Network with colleagues across User Group Forums and Regional User Groups to acquire the latest update and development information.
