Add expected salary to your profile for insights Dairy Holdings Ltd is recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading dairy businesses, led by business and sector experts with a strong growth trajectory, and a clear vision for the business now and into the future. With a closed herd, and a ‘self-contained’ strategy, the Grazing Supervisor leads five grazing blocks managers with the clear target: best practice in pasture grown, harvested, live weight gain, and profitability. Not for the half-hearted, this is a role with genuine punch, real and measurable outcomes, and with significant impact on the bottom line. Backing yourself to get the best out of others, working collaboratively with clear systems, and maximising farm performance is the crux of achieving success in this role. With a team of five grazing managers, there will always be priorities to call, coach, ponder, and plan. Moving at speed between tasks and taking action on the run will be things you already know you can do, along with balancing the requirement to move at pace alongside the ability to re-charge when you can. About you: Your intensive grazing and dairy support experience and knowledge are well honed and immediately obvious when you talk to people. Intuitively you communicate well, understand the numbers, and can spot a commercial opportunity. You’re ready to make the transition to leading other leaders in a structured and driven environment. We also think you’ll have some corporate experience behind you as well as strong networks, and you’ll already have examples of where you’ve led on-farm performance improvement. You’ll be seasoned (but not jaded) by the normal ebb-and-flow of a seasonal business, invigorated by the challenge of a new role with operational, technical, and leadership complexity, and you’ll be looking for the opportunity to work with like-minded and smart farming professionals. More information on the role can be found in the position description, but more importantly, fitting in with the Dairy Holdings culture means you’ll be smart but humble, genuine, and won’t shy away from taking the good and bad that comes with responsibility, and you won’t be afraid to speak up.
