up to 10 sessions

although applications for part-time or job sharing will be considered. The appointee will work with enthusiastic and supportive colleagues across the region to improve the comprehensive consultative service for North Wales, treating serious and complex cases to the highest standard. There is an emphasis on multidisciplinary management by oncology, head and neck, orthodontic service, and the North West regional cleft lip and palate network. We have strong academic, teaching, and training links with Liverpool Dental Hospital, Bangor University, and Edge Hill. Main duties of the job

The appointee will work with enthusiastic and supportive colleagues across the region to improve the comprehensive consultative service for North Wales. The job involves treating serious and complex malocclusions to the highest standard, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary management including orthognathic surgery and collaboration with restorative dentistry. There are opportunities to provide local orthodontic care as part of the Regional Cleft Lip and Palate Network. We have strong academic, teaching, and training links with Liverpool Dental Hospital, Bangor, and Edge Hill Universities, along with the Mersey, Cheshire, and North Wales quarterly meetings. Qualifications

BDS or equivalent Full registration with United Kingdom General Dental Council (GDC) Distinctions, Scholarships prizes, other degrees e.g., BSc, MSc, MS, PhD Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exit Examination in Restorative Dentistry or equivalent Holds CCST in Restorative Dentistry or equivalent or will obtain within 6 months of interview Is currently, or will be eligible for inclusion, on the GDC Specialist Register CCST or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC) Welsh Speaker Training

Successful completion of an SAC approved 5 year minimum training programme in Restorative Dentistry, or within 6 months of completion or equivalent Audit

Evidence of participation in clinical audit and understanding role of audit in improving medical/dental practice. Understanding of clinical risk management and clinical governance Presentation of publication of audit projects Research

An understanding of general principles, scientific method and interpretation of literature. Ability to critically appraise the literature Evidence of personal research and presentations. Publications in peer-reviewed journals. Management

Commitment to participating in and understanding of the management process Ability to manage a clinical service Evidence of organisational ability Ability to prioritise and plan effectively Ability to manage conflicting and unpredictable demands Evidence of management training Attended a National Health Service Management Course appropriate to Consultant duties.
