Job Summary As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in a care home or home care setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and promote a positive living environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their independence while providing necessary assistance with daily living activities. Communicate effectively with residents and their families to understand their needs and preferences. Follow care plans meticulously to ensure that each resident receives personalised support tailored to their requirements. Document and report any changes in residents' conditions or behaviours to the nursing staff promptly. Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life. Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication as needed. Experience Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. A good command of English is required to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues. Experience in implementing care plans is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with IT systems will be beneficial for maintaining accurate records and communication within the team.
